Structure of the museum

A unique space in the city is the atrium of the museum with a stage where concerts of classical and popular music, folklore shows, theater plays, book promotions, and other outdoor artistic and cultural events are held, and the new, large multi-purpose hall in the attic part of the building is used for various ceremonies, professional and scientific lectures for the public, presentation of books, etc.

The Town Museum of Bjelovar, which is included in the famous Saur edition of Museums of the World and represented in the prestigious European magazine Museum Aktuell in Munich as well as in the latest comprehensive manual of the Museum Documentation Center in Zagreb, Guide to Croatian Museums and Collections, celebrates every year " International Museum Day", and regularly participates in the Republic's "Night of Museums" event with its programs.

The Museum has seven departments:

• Etnology department

• History department

• Cultural and historical department

• Gallery department

• Music department

• Library

• Memorial museum Barutana

Several collections are being established (technical, poster collection and others).
