Museum Night 2026
The central part of the program is the exhibition "Vojin Bakić: The Principle of Hope", which provides an overview of Bakić's oeuvre and his artistic and social legacy. An integral part of the exhibition are the works of contemporary artists David Maljković, Miloš Trakilović and Sara Salamon, who establish a dialogue with Bakić's work from a modern perspective.
As part of the Museum Night, from 5 pm to 11 pm, visitors will be able to enjoy a 20% discount on the entire assortment in the Souvenir Shop of the Bjelovar City Museum.
The program will also take place in the Barutana Memorial Museum, where two screenings of the film "260 Days" by director Jakov Sedlar will be held, starting at 6 pm and 9 pm. Between the two screenings, visitors will be provided with a free expert guide through the permanent exhibition of the Memorial Museum. The capacity per film screening is 70 visitors. Free tickets for the screenings are mandatory and can be collected from the Souvenir Shop of the Bjelovar City Museum from Tuesday, January 27, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
