Christmas manger

The nativity scene as a pious staging of Christ's birth, set up in churches, homes and public spaces during the holidays owes its tradition to saint Francis of Assisi, who in 1223. staged the first nativity scene in a cave outside the Italian town of Greccie using live actors and animals.

The exhibition that lasted from the 27th of november 2023. to the 6th of january 2024. presented the works of the Association of friends of Croatian nativity scene makers. Along them were posters containing information about the evolution of nativity iconography and its correlation with Catholic dogma.
