The age of the telephone - with special reference to Bjelovar

From the 22nd of september to the 22nd of october the exhibition „Age of telephones – with a special focus on Bjelovar“ was presented in the Town museum of Bjelovar. Consisting of 88 different specimens, the oldest was a telephone from 1894., and a central office from 1897.

The exhibition was a result of cooperation between three museums – the Town museum of Bjelovar, the HT museum in Zagreb and the Technical museum „Nikola Tesla.“ As stated in the name, Bjelovar has a special focus, as its first telephone line was laid in 1892.
